Lot 1 topped the sale in the Supreme Dorper and White Dorper Sale held during the Australian Sheep and Wool Show, Bendigo. The Dorper ram offered by Dell Dorpers was purchased by Brendan Duncan, Glen Park Dorpers for $3,700.The ram was a son of successful sire Dell Dorpers Juke 1002. Juke son have met with keen demand when offered. The March 2012 drop ram weighed 96.5kg. Mr Duncan also purchased the second top priced ewe of the day paying $2,200 for a Dell ewe.

Dell Dorpers sold the top price Dorper ewe at $3,000 with purchaser Victorian based flock Maldadorn Dorpers owned by John Voitin. The ewe was sold with a three month old ewe lamb at foot. Mr Voitin purchased 11 ewes in total to be the volume buyer at the sale. He averaged $1090 for his purchases.

Top price White Dorper ram was offered by Red Rock flock, Keith SA and purchased by Edwillang White Dorpers, Cambrian Hill vic. This ram weighing 81kh at 12 months sold for $2,400. Bannerton Ridge sold the top price White Dorper ewe at $800 with the purchaser HM Baird, Castlemaine Victoria. Volume buyer, Emu Park Station purchased six Dorper rams and 3 White Dorper rams for an average $1088.

Three lots were also auctioned for the Herds of Hope Foundation. The three lots were donated by Dell Dorpers, Niemur and Dumisa flocks and these three sheep raised $2,600. Further funds were raised the night before at the well attended Shamrock Hotel dinner for this great cause.
