A total clearance and an increased average highlighted a pleasing result for Wayne and Karen Dingle’s 2nd annual Smit Dorper and Boondarra White Dorper sale on Friday, October 25.
The sale of 83 rams across both breeds grossed $145,600 to average $1754 – up from $1100 in 2023 – and topped at $4000 twice.
The sale was held at the Charleville Showgrounds. It was only the second as a single vendor for the Dingle family, Westlands, Mungallala, and attracted a good crowd of existing and new buyers from a wide area.
Wayne Dingle said the result was aided by a better season and improved market conditions this year.
