It was a red hot market at last week’s Kaya Dorper and White Dorper Production Sale at Narrogin as local and interstate buyers chased the impressive offering of rams and ewes presented by the Veitch family in their 20th annual sale.
Right through the quality yarding of rams and ewes, buyers in both the selling shed and operating online through the Stocklive selling platform were strong and positive in their bidding pushing prices to a high of $9000 for a White Dorper ram and $1750 for a White Dorper ewe.
The further the sale went, the stronger it got which helped the Veitch family achieve an impressive result which included a 100 per cent clearance of the 155 rams and ewes offered and the average ram price being nearly double last year’s value.
